The shadowy realm of news avoidance: Exploring public service news avoidance as negative social action

Under the supervision of Johan Lindell, my colleagues and I at Uppsala University co-wrote this research article, which explores news avoidance in Sweden. It examines who tends to avoid the news and introduces a new theoretical framework for understanding news avoidance.

This is my master's thesis, completed as part of my Master's program in Social Science of Media and Communication. Over five months, I conducted a comprehensive study exploring the perceptions of various Reddit groups regarding pornographic deepfake technology and its detrimental effects on women.
